Overlook Park — also known as “Longboat Key Little Beach” — at 201 FL-789, Longboat Key, FL 34228. It's the first left as you come off the bridge onto Longboat Key, and it's a hidden drive, so slow down or you'll go straight past it. Apple Maps users should search “Overlook Park” or “Longboat Key Little Beach” instead of the street address. There is parking on site, but no restrooms. Please check in 15 minutes before your launch time — that's 6:15pm for the 6:30pm tour, 7:45pm for the 8:00pm, and 9:15pm for the 9:30pm.

It's the last 15 minutes of your tour, and it's included for everyone. After about an hour of paddling we come back to the beach and your guide lays out whatever the group netted during the tour — crabs, shrimp, starfish, small fish — so you can actually pick things up and look at them properly, and ask what they are. Everything is returned to the water at the end. It's usually the highlight for kids.

Not at all. It's an extremely slow paddle while you look for sea life, and we stay in 1–3 feet of water about 85% of the time. Every kayak has life jackets, lights, a whistle and a net, and guides stay close by throughout. No experience is needed.

Dress for comfort and for getting a little wet — swimwear, quick-dry shorts and shirts, or a rash guard all work well. Jeans aren't ideal. In cooler weather a windbreaker or hoodie is perfect. Many people kayak barefoot and leave shoes at the launch; water shoes, flip flops or sandals are fine too. Bring water to stay hydrated, a towel, and maybe dry clothes for after. Please leave valuables and anything that can't get wet or sink — phones, wallets, keys, jewelry, non-waterproof cameras — behind.

425 lbs for a tandem kayak and 350 lbs for a solo. Larger weight-limit kayaks are available, but we need at least 24 hours' notice if solo kayaks are needed for weight reasons.

Ages 3 and up. Kids 5 and under ride free with a paying adult, but you'll need to text us at 941-259-9713 to add them to the booking rather than doing it online.

Tours run on tandem kayaks — two people per kayak — unless an odd number is booked or there's a weight consideration, in which case someone gets a solo kayak.

No. This is saltwater on the Gulf side — you're paddling shallow coastal flats, not a freshwater river.

Safety comes first, and only Fun Florida Tours can officially cancel a tour. We watch conditions closely and will call it off before launch for heavy sustained rain, nearby lightning, or unsafe high winds — if that happens you can choose a full refund, a reschedule, or a raincheck.

For less severe conditions, such as high wind or an awkward wind direction, we may move the launch to a safer nearby spot or shift the departure time instead. We'll always let you know before launch. Because the tour is still running, those adjustments aren't refundable. Likewise, if a tour launches and is then cut short by weather, it counts as delivered.

If you need to cancel:

3 or more days before (72+ hours): full 100% refund.
24 to 72 hours before: non-refundable, but you can reschedule or take a raincheck.
Less than 24 hours before: non-refundable — no refund, reschedule, or raincheck.

If we cancel before launch for safety, you choose: full refund, reschedule, or raincheck. And if a tour is running but you decide not to come, or won't take part because of rain or a location change, we can't refund or reschedule it.

Please check carefully — we run tours from several launches around the area, and every booking is tied to one specific address. Turning up at a different one is recorded as a no-show: it can't be refunded, and it can't be rescheduled without booking a new tour at full price. Your booking confirmation text has the exact address, so it's worth a quick look before you leave.

You can, but entirely at your own risk — you're on the water in a clear kayak, and things do go overboard. If you want photos, a waterproof case or a floating strap is a very good idea.

Viewing marine life is a perk of this tour, not a guarantee. On a typical night guests spot fish, crabs, shrimp and rays, and sometimes manatees or dolphins — but it's wild water, and every night is different.
